An oldie but a goody…and other stuff

1. You accidentally enter your PIN on the microwave.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn’t even have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12. You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list.

AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Isn’t that the truth! LOL!!

Snowy week here — it was snowing like crazy a few minutes ago, it starts and stops, then starts again.

I took the van to the collision center for repair and got a rental car. It is CUTE! I have been having fun driving it. It’s a PT Cruiser. I wanted one when I got the van three years ago and was told it was ugly. I love it. This one is silver. The only thing is I have no where to put my purse or knitting bag, so if someone is with me I have to set it on the seat or floor of the back seat.

We had some serious knitting fun on Saturday at Heather’s. It’s always great to see everyone and get a look-see at what everyone is working on. I am telling you, that Donna is a knitting wizard! She can make finished objects faster than anyone I know. I wish I had that kind of finishing determination!!
Before going to Heather’s, Sandie and I went to lunch to to Knit-wits. I bought some Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. OOooOOoo this stuff feels so nice when you knit it. I’d love to make a sweater with it, but it would cost me about $100. That’s a bit pricey for me.

Then last night we had FIFTH MONDAY KNITTING at Denny’s. We had a nice time, but it broke up early and I was actually stopping at BORDER’s at 9:30 PM just for something to do. It seemed too early to go home.

Well –what am I doing knit/crochet-wise?

I have hats and scarves in process for my godchild and her little brother;
I have a scarf in process for an exchange;
I have a purse in progress for the Bag-a-holic knitalong;
I think that’s all that’s in my knitting bag right now.

Are you going to the Pittsburgh Knitting and Crochet Festival, Feb. 10 & 11? It’s the third year for it. They changed venues again. Wonder if they are going to do that every year? We had a terrific time last year. Go to for more info. In case you are wondering why they charge admission–it’s a fund-raiser by the Waldorf School.

The Winter Knitty is up! Click the thingie in the sidebar!

A Grey’s Anatomy moment:

T.R. Knight is thinking of quitting Grey’s because of the ongoing controversy about his outing as gay;

Patrick Dempsey is co-starring with Hilary Swank in the new movie, FREEDOM WRITERS.

IDOL is on tonite. That’ll be a fun evening. LOL!

Have a good one people!!

  1. That’s a great list. When we are in a store and get separated, we always call the other. On Sunday we were grocery shopping and I was in the next aisle. I called him on the cell to ask what kind of bread he wanted.

  2. haha my husband and I call each other at the store too!
